Former executive booked in fraud San Jose Mercury News - Published Saturday, May 8, 1999, in the Authorities charge that VanWye, who also is a reserve deputy with the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department, embezzled more than $100,000 from Philips Mobile Computing group in Campbell while vice president for engineering in 1988.
