Frank -
I don't see any value to CPQ from trying to "steal DELL's thunder". EP had a personal vendetta and the stroke to indulge that kind of horseplay, but I don't think current management thinks about trying to bomb DELL if there's nothing in it for CPQ.

Frank,
There is no question that Michael Dell and Eckhard Pfeiffer had it in for each other. I would be very surprised if Mr. Rosen would resort to the same cheap tactics. His major challenge is to reverse Compaq's slow loss of market share, if that is at all possible.
