AMZN has split twice (a 2 for 1 followed by a 3 for 1). The IPO price is around $2/share (split adjusted)

The major difference between AMZN and PCLN..

In the beginning AMZN had a market cap of less than 400 MM. However, PCLN has started with a market cap of 20 billion. A double, 5x, 10x, 25x returns are much easier on a smaller base. As of today, PCLN and AMZN's market caps are very similar. This probably means that the days of fantastic returns are over for AMZN too.

I think investors who are expecting returns of several hundred % will be disappointed.

Regards.
