although i'm sure tscm will good be for a quick pop, i've never been impressed with thestreet.com's analysis of the markets... in the 2 yr's i've kept up with the site, the content has just come across as a repackaged version of news readily available elsewhere.. furthermore, tscm's analysts reports have never impressed me... I suspect most of them are just a bunch of journalism majors churning copy, with little original research....

the few notable writers are david derosa (who left in the summer to goto bloomberg)... herb greenberg (whose bearish comments rarely carry weight or are too late to be of profitable note, imo).. and gary b. smith (whom I respect as a technical analyst)...

tscm is just cramer cashing in... too bad the SI "James Cramer Hate Thread" isn't around... they always had some entertaining things to say...

does anyone seriously think that all this new capital is going to bring enough quality writers/analysts to compete with bloomberg, yahoo finance, cnnfn, cnbc, etc who are already online... besides the few columnists who carry weight (david derosa) get hired away by the real news services...

finally, the main thing i like about this site.. is that its essentially free... just reapply every 30 days with a new email address...
