The shithole society you see America becoming today I don't. Perhaps you do; would you rather relocate to West Africa? Tribes rule, individuals lose rights. This is what we see happening today. Gangs proliferate and kids get guns and take warfare to their high schools. Are you saying that individual kids don't have the right to join gangs? Many would say that the problems of America today are rooted in an excess of liberty. I say there are absolute rights and wrongs. There is objective morality. When people lose sight of this it is the beginning of the end of their freedom. But who gets to define what exactly those rights and wrongs are? I don't see any significant difference between having a council of objectivists telling me what's right and wrong and having a conclave of medieval cardinals telling me the same thing. Your religion is as divorced from empirical reality as theirs, and every bit as uninteresting. Fundamentalism of any kind is hogwash, and that includes fundamentalist objectivism. I use one-liners because they amuse me. Whether they amuse anyone else is no concern of mine. That is good, because they don't. Observation of empirical evidence leads everyone else on the thread to conclude that you use one-liners to evade questions you can't answer. You can demonstrate that they are purely for amusement by answering the questions. In different posts, of course. That way you get your amusement and maintain dialogue as well.
