Thanks for that Brill's Content article. Although I'm not altogether trusting of Brill's authoritative stance on things, assuming its facts are right, it's kinda silly.

The Ward article, which I just read, was absolutely proper. Methinks Welling and Abelson are a little too cozy with their sources, here. And it's not like Biggs ain't a big boy, anyway. Pinning a market strategist on his manic market calls, the nerve. Sheesh!

Abelson is a funny read, but come on, nobody confuses Up and Down Wall Street with journalism. And besides, didn't he indulge in the guilty pleasure of assassinating Jim Cramer a couple months ago?

Barron's hasn't been the same since Welling left (over this incident?), however. She was a superstar; I dearly miss her writings.

Sam, *OT*

Interesting article from Brills, thanks. I tend to put Abelson and Andy Rooney in the same basket. Both seem to me like embittered old men, and both are capable of entertaining you while not necessarily getting your vote. I used to watch Abelson on the Today show and marvel that anyone could listen to his nasal, whiny voice. But factually, the man has a marvelous adeptness at language and is one of the more articulate commentators. I often do not agree with him but always find him entertaining.

Best,
Stitch
