Remember to add into your equation the following: When the PLCOP converts, the common will get hit hard and may not sustain a price like $5 as you suggest. IMO the Pfd. is a better buy but may be a longer term hold than the common and may not increase as fast as the common. Also - As far as I know (read the filings) the PLCOP was paid, in part, to retire a note owed by PLCO. The noteholders who received PLCOP have been selling to get their investment back. That is why I believe the Pfd. is so low. There should be no other reason for the Pfd. to be selling at this price.

Baton. . .I kid you not. Why do you think I keep harping on the pfds every chance I get. Before I bought a single share. . .I called the company three different days and asked the same thing. . . they got to where they knew who I was. . . the guy that can't get it straight about the preferred stock. Yeah, sometimes it takes a little time to make the big bucks. . .but I have been watching PLCO for well over 6 months, maybe a year. . .nobody on SI had ever heard of them back then. . . or FILM for that matter. But if you still have doubts. . .or just for your daddy's sake, give the company a call. The trick to make this a gold mine is that the common must go up and stay up . . .so it is always best to support the common as well. Best wishes. Rande Is
