Foxy may have a better answer to the company vs. block question. I would speculate that a major doesn't want to buy all the dirty laundry that may exist regarding Abacan. Rather, if they want the concession, they may just want to buy that asset. Likewise, it's possible that Stephen's is being a shrewd negotiator and is offering the Block on terms that would help Abacan eventually shine (e.g., ORRI, carried WI, etc. etc.). Time will tell. Regarding tales of fish tails... I am still too exhausted to conjure up the Full Monty version of the experience per Foxy's request. Soon... soon. Suffice it to say for the moment, a good time was had by all. For two decades, I have been fishing the same river with the same five guys... so you can imagine the layers and layers of tradition and subtlties to the ballet of rods casting lures into the depths in hopes of raising the wily steelhead! Legends and books have been told and written about the steelhead trout... to catch one is a privilege... to hook and release several is a blessing. The group felt blessed by the steelhead gods this year. During dinner our last night we felt so blessed that we decided that we were probably all faithful members of the CREEK ORTHOTOX (typos intended) CHURCH. Of course, wine with dinner helped our nature infused brains free associate to such depths of creativity!!! The wine also added the "tox" syllable to the name <ggg>! Again, we had fun. Let's hope something eventually happens with Togo. We certainly can't blame poor oil prices today for Abacan's difficulties. Oil is booming up gangbusters. Paul L. Craig
