CPI and Interest rate jitters are a non factor. We didn't have out of control inflation prior to the Asian Tiger and Brazilian meltdowns when those economies were running hard. If in fact they are coming back so what? We are still not back to the old baselines, where we didn't have inflation problems to begin with. The scare mongers can not keep interest rates hyped up much longer. The markets will not allow it.

I watched CMGI and AOL most of the day. These two stocks tend to jump and gap around many days. Today, it was just a steady slow increase most of the day ending with the stocks at or near their highs. This only happens when there is a concerted effort to accumulate shares by institutions/funds. At this point, it doesn't matter who is responsible. The cat is out of the bag. Given we have another up day in tech/inets look for CMGI to go back to its jumping ways. Next stop is $250.
