Now see, that wasn't so bad!

Still looking for my posts on that damned ole dogpatch thread. Gee, I got to thinking, maybe I lost a ton of money on CPQ and don't even realize it.

What is in that drink?

From the porch you are wanting me to sell.

Pruguy, lighten up, just teasing a little. But I am still confused about that CPQ crap. Let me know if you see something that pertains to me, I have been a little forgetful lately. Damn, just racking my brain. If someone on the thread can help, let me know.

Pruguy, Agreed. It was when the cheerleaders were the loudest that AOL got killed the most. People should be able to justify their holdings. However, there are good reasons for AOL to rise.Of the 3 battles it was fighting last week, it is winning 2:

1. Interest rates are calming down. Bonds are raising their own rates and keeping Greenspan away. The unemployment wage # was weaker than expected. Be wary of PPI, CPI and energy prices, but unemployment was the big one.

2. The cable fears have died down. There is a growing perception that cable is not quite the only solution to high speed internet connections. Also, the T-UMG merger looks in jeopardy: Feds will either prevent it or will open cable lines to AOL. It is technically difficult to do this, but the perception is that AOL will be involved.

3. The high PE dump is still a legitimate fear and could resurface anytime. However, as rate fears die, the dump will not be as big a worry.

Technicals look good: Trendline held. Stochoastics look like they bottomed out. Decent volume yesterday. Moving averages don't look great, but that's to be expected as they lag a directional change. Same is true of MACD.
