Dave, you are a reasonable guy, and I thank you for acknowledging that such rhetoric is excessive. Since we would agree about the reduction of the size and scope of government as a general principle, or the devolution of federal initiatives to lower levels of government, the main points of discussion revolve around the core matters that it may be appropriate for government to be involved in, and the criteria for distinguishing among defensible initiatives, and one's that should rejected. I would like to narrow the differences between conservatives and libertarians if I can, so those are the things I am most prone to bring up and seek to explore.
