The more I look over these specs, the more blown away I am over how AAPL has executed this product upgrade.

Barring some unforeseen design screwup, these PBs should sell *extremely* well.

Or, to rephrase, *I* should be able to sell them extremely well. :)

He is intuitively correct about set-top boxes, but wrong about convergence.
Convergence WILL occur, but is likely to be from the internet to the TV/Phone as opposed to from TV/Phone to the internet. Why? Because the bigger bets and R&D are coming from the PC/internet side.
MSFT has invested in it to hedge their bets. Either it WILL converge that way, and pay off big for them (I question that), or they will have cornered a niche market.
