That is a very interesting analysis, LH, but I doubt Clinton would consider it long. I think the job meant more than money to him. He was too pathologically tied to Paula. He has some complex relationship in his marriage. [There is reason to believe the missus had yet to hear of Monica.] She also had an agenda with the job.
... there was play in the case still. He may have believed himself justified if he could only get his day in court. He may have not believed this could happen to him. Mainly, I just don't think it in Clinton(s) to quietly fold their tents and fade away.
