REITs, as indicated by the RIX, have just moved out of a two-week consolidation pattern. Two other correlated industry groups, Real Estate - Developers and Real Estate - Operations, have started moving up as well. Developers include Rouse (RSE), Fairfield (FFD), Taubman (TCO), Grubb & Ellis (GBE), and Kilroy (KRC). Operations include Avatar (AVTR) and Catellus (CDX). On the other hand, Mortgage REITs are doing poorly.

SO: I have just gone over my charts and let me say that there is very little so far to get excited about.

Gee, just about the time I am turning bullish...<gg>

The indexes need a strong solid up day with decisive closing prices to break this gridlock. This latest rally has finally taken out some short term resistance areas. Now they just need to build on and hold those gains through the end of the day.
