<<Is the company that's doing the field testing afraid the technology might flop and therefore not willing to put their name with USRF's? >>

In all likelihood... NO.

USRFs technology is better suited for environments with a small number of users away from dense population centers.

Micrososft, AT&T, Lucent, etc. are looking for a big player with technology that can handle a high volume of users and traffic to keep costs down.

USRF's use of cordless phone and baby monitor frequencies means they can never work in an area with a lot of cordless phones and baby monitors.

It's annoying enough when the area is so saturated that you can hear someone else's conversation on your cordless phone. Imagine a bunch of screaching modems!

USRF would be great in aread's like Nevada, the Australian Outback, etc. But therre's really not enough customers to really sell the product or make it economical.
