Armin,

IDT does currently offer a discount to I believe $10.95 per month for net2phone users. Problenm is, it is not heavily advertised. As mentioned before though, they are starting to focus on the ISP.

Free ISP's get kickbacks from the phone companies

in Europe who charge per minute on the phone,
unlike the States where you pay flat rate per
call, or flat rate for unlimited calls.

why use NetPhone and pay your ISP per minute,
when you can just make a normal phone call
and pay per minute. Sorry, but it won't help.

I have recently been traveling in California and $4.99/month ISP's are
available throughout the state.I met the head of a new ISP which expects to provide service at a price to undercut all ISP's which would mean $0. Their assumption is based on revenues coming from the advertising side of the business. They have a pretty aggresive business plan, including sign up of 750,000 users within a year.
So we are entering the part of the equation similar to broadcast TV,where the transmission is free as long as your willing to watch the commercials.
