Wang Wei, i am well aware that the bullish argument for a continuation of the non-inflationary environment could be just as valid as the one i am making - namely that there are dangers on the horizon. the wild card in all this is probably technology. the extent and duration of the current cycle of technological progress are largely unforeseeable(although some extrapolation and speculation are certainly possible)and all of us have probably vast surprises ahead of us. i am merely reluctant to throw out history because of this. people have done this in the past and come to regret it later. the one constant in our ever-changing world is human nature and psychology, and that is what markets reflect. regards, hb
