Jeff, I hear what you are saying... But why can't 3dfx still ship the current 3500 and follow-up later with the 3500TV. Or maybe strip out the LCD and call it the 3500DX version and sell it for $200, basically just a hot-rodded Voodoo3 2000. Because they want to sell a 3500TV doesn't mean they can't sell any form of 3500. The most logical explanation is because they can't, not because they won't. At no point in time have I been more positive about 3dfx's future. 50% of grahpics retail sales is an awesome number. The branding and revenue generation potential are tremendous. If 3dfx can keep from pissing all their earnings away (management bonuses, 20 millin dollar ad campaigns, product changes in mid-cycle ie V1.5 and V3 3500) there may be just be enough left to make us shareholders some good coin. Right now is truly the ground level for 3dfx. So many consumers, so little time. It seems to me that 3dfx is a shoe-in to take a large chunk of the entire market. I just hope they don't pull a Rodman and waste all that wonderful talent on stupid mistakes. All 3dfx needs to do is show up and execute. The momentum will do the rest. Pat P.S. If these announcements were fired off today, what are the announcements for E3? Holy crap! P.P.S. We need a bear in this camp so I don't have to argue with myself all the time. :-)
