10-20% now is neat but most of these companies that MSFT gives its blessing to tend to double in less than a year. As examples, think of the Cable companies and QWST. I'll be looking for an entry point on NXTL over the next six weeks or so. Regards,

I see MSFT doing more deals overseas. I usually avoid this, but I can't resist one more attempt at balance on this score: I'm not sure what the point of moving overseas would be if one wanted to maintain a private-market monopoly. One must remember that Europeans have historically been tougher on market monopolies than the US and that governments there have used methods to reign in private monopolies that would be unheard of in the US -- like state ownership. Socialist (social democrats as they're often called) parties are both more respected and more powerful throughout Europe. In some Scandanavian countries, they've maintained power for decades. Parties that are historically socialist recently gained control of the governments in England, Germany, and Italy, and hold significant power in France. Socialists in those parties have softened their stances in order to regain power, but that doesn't erase their history or their fundamental orientation. My apologies to those who hate to hear this stuff, and I won't say anymore on the issue.
