Guess what. I heard from an MS solutions provider that MS has decided to port Office 97 to the Linux platform.

You heard it here first on SI.

I have no idea of the reliability of this information.

Rusty, I liked the article, but I found it interesting how both of the IDC guys got it half totally wrong, The smaller the device the more important is the underlying OS and it's reliability. The second guy was worrying about the fact that Linux was big not understanding that with source the kernel can be stripped to only what is essential.

But it's nice to see more technically ignorant people now actually claiming that Linux is a possible to good solution. The new millenium will see the dumbing down of the Linux user. Which is OK.
