I thought I had posted that here before?? Oh well, the fact is market makers on the Nasdaq to fix the price.

This is not like the NYSE where you have a bidder and a seller and one person making the market with a fiduciary duty to the parties involved. Those guys are at risk of losing money by making the market and can't sacrifice the buyers and sellers to save their own butts.

Not so on the Nasdaq. The MM's make the market to suit their own needs, which is why the spread is SO large compared to NYSE issues. MM's will screw you on a market order and sometimes on a low stop loss order so fast you won't have time to ask for a kiss and a cigarette. Stock price manipulation IS illegal and if you have what you believe is evidence of same then you should report it to the SEC as www.sec.gov. Unfortunately I am unsure on where the line is as far as the SEC is concerned b/t MM's controlling the market they make in a stock and illegally manipulating a stock.

Practically speaking there is not much good to be had in bitching and moaning about it because the MM's are in control. However, the company and the SEC can bring pressure to bear and clean up the MM's act, so take your message to the people with the power!!!

You are right, BETT WILL PREVAIL regardless. GO BETT!!!
