<the media only reports what fits the dominant ideology>

Are you ignoring the poll of media journalists posted here 2 days ago in which the media itself stated they ditrusted their own reports? if you can verify a different set of facts, please elaborate. But be careful, for the media itself has no faith in its honesty.

A prime example is the Lttleton tragedy. I didn't see one article or news clip in the mainstream media in support of gun education, an effective tool in just about any situation where abuse occurs. However, i did see 24 hr./day support-opinion on why guns should be banned.

Actually, I am quite surprised at the news one can find in a newspaper.. I have found many things that verify exactly what Chomsky says... This stuff is usually buried , or couched in other rhetorric, but it is in there.. The way it is presented is where the difference is in most news.. The Spin if you like.. For example--- It is no secret that we are bombing and terrorizing Yugoslavia or Iraq, however that is not how it is spun, but more like we are some kind of humanitarian angels fighting evil.....

Here is an example of manipulation of the media----- Off of my newswire today---

NBC is airing a 2 part mini series "Atomic Train"----(fiction)

ok, since I type with one finger, bear with me if I leave out something...

"" In the meantime , NBC- whose corporate parent General Elactric has a significant economic interest in the nuclear industry- is re-editing the serieas to delete any references to nuclear waste, an NBC spokeswoman has confirmed.

"Atomic Train" will still involve a runaway train with a Russian bomb, but instead of nuclear waste the characters in the film will refer rather nebulously to the train carrying "hazardous material"

blah blah
Proposed legislationcalls for shipping waste by rail.
The cotroversy freighted measure if enacted into law, would require by 2003 the shipment of thousands of tons of highly radioactive spent nuclear fuel from power plants across the U.S. Much of the spent fuel would be transported by rail...

It goes on------
