I posted this on the RMBS thread and got no replies. Anybody here want to give it a try? Can anyone provide a true apples-to-apples comparison of die size of drdram vs sdram? Like same vendor, same technology, at same time?

Fab et al: These articles are rarely clear about the difference between marginal cost (cost of one more) and total cost (figuring in that nasty overhead). Some articles use both in the same sentence/paragraph. Low retail should break $40 this week. At $40 (the current low retail) somebody, somewhere is getting only about $4 per 64Mb PC100.
