Scrumpy, I didn't see it as a directed it at the service, I know you too well, but you managed to 'get me' just after I had finished the html version for the web tv'ers and here I was now asked to 'put together' another one for those that don't have java.. You have to see it from my point of view. A change here, a change there, a
'follow through' in html here there. It adds up to no time for quality and I never stint on quality.

Do you know I have a 'trial' subscription with this guy that someone suggested I look at through a pm. I make it my business to 'study the competition' and be one step ahead of them. I won't mention names save to say it has the word 'chart' in his url. I am on a trial for about 2 weeks out of 4 when I get this e-mail that he's going on a 10 day vacation and next month on another 10 day vacation. Being an 'honest to goodness' trial client I e-mailed him and asked what I was supposed to do for 20 days without the service.. His answer was: Sorry if I can find an outlet for my laptap, I might have one or two days... I asked him if we would be reimbursed for the 20 days and he said 'sorry'. He said something like "I havent taken a vacation in two years" yet someone else told me he began his service about the same time I began mine.

This guy charges more than market gems. Now I am not disparaging, but I would never just up and take 2 10-day vacations without making clear cut plans during my absence. But there are times when I think if I weren't so readily 'available', everyone would make due with the occasional inconvenience and call technical support for Adobe Acrobat reader or their own ISP instead of asking on the thread. It defeats the purpose of intraday updates when questions like that are asked on the thread.

Maybe I'm too fussy and I know other threads are 'chatty, talky and OT banter' but I like an element of professionalism, not many threads have it but I freqent the ones that do (i.e. MDA, Ike's thread , Doug's thread,[56 point TA] etc)

I've even gotten suggestions to change the blue color of the charts to red or green or beige.

Your description was eloquent, and went right over my head, but I assume you meant that the java applets can't be assessed at work. If that's it then I can't do a special version just for them. We especially have a print version of the calendar for people without java. Anyhow no need to apologize, it's okay.
