More business for us:

biz.yahoo.com

although UVEW doesn't look like it will be a huge addition to revs, but business is business.

biz.yahoo.com

IXC's earnings out today as well, not very impressive

biz.yahoo.com

Their ask is currently $2 below last trade, should be rough for them...one paragraph that stood out to me in their report which might have a bit of bearing to PSIX is:

"EBITDA for the quarter declined versus the first quarter of 1998 due to two major factors: (1) the
impact of higher access costs mandated by the FCC for tandem trunking charges and special
assessment charges affecting the switched long distance business, and (2) increased operating and other
costs related to expansion of IXC's nationwide fiber network and IT infrastructure as well as costs
related to expansion of its retail distribution operation."

PSIX may face some of the same challenges....wonder if Psinet and gang will be down in sympathy to IXC woes.

regards,
cg

Interesting from that
IXC report was:

"To date, IXC's board of directors has seriously considered, but ultimately turned away,
several proposals for business combinations."

That is no surprise, IXC board has said they are looking for a rich pot....I just wonder if PSIX furnished one of those proposals for a business combo.

good for them.

hope we break and hold $50 today,

Dear Curtis,

You've been busy thinking about us and our business...thanks!

We already team with HP in building out our data centers, using a lot of their gear. We've done some press on it, a few months ago.

We do not have an exclusive with HP, wouldn't expect it. So, they've apparently gone and done something with Qwest.

ALL global data carriers such as PSINet will have to own/manage large data centers on or near their backbones. Qwest is no exception. So, they're just doing what they have to do.

Best,

Dave Kunkel
