Not worthy of a headline, but

alienware.com

has the 3000 as standard equipment on their top systems which at first review seem way overpriced, but really have "spec grade" components at a fair price. Like to run thru the system options, complete absence of "no name" components.

Ditto for Quantex, a fast-ramping competitor in mid-range.

Having seen video on the current crop of mid-range LCD screens with their slow quench and persistance problems, I'm glad that 3dfx chose to wait. Won't rule out a "special" production run for OEM's though.
