If he started to write that fateful book, and then discovered he was wrong, and changed his tune, that would have been an err. But he still published that book, still advocated that the Khmer Rouge were innocent, but unable to villify Ho Chi Min and Pol Pot, he instead pulls out the devil America who supposedly is to be blamed for it all, irregardless of all the facts, including Khieu Samphan's dissertation. In typical fashion, yes, because he employs the same distortion and twisting non-engagement with all his topics.
