I wholeheartedly agree. And while some may feel I was "attacking" you, the fact remains I only disagree with your assessment of the situation...

regards,

Tim:
I apologize for my misunderstanding.
As I said before, we have to do something to help to solve Kosovo crisis, through military action or political solution. I can't tolerate China doesn't do anything but because of their selfish motives criticizing other countries' efforts. My whole point is China whines about being pushed around by US, but China also pushes weak countries around. In Chinese: "Only governor can do it, not the common people."
US is a great country because "some" of her people have noble motives
trying to make the world better. I believe China also has some but I have seen more and more selfish Chinese nowadays.
To me, blind patriotism is not a virtue. That's exactly what those students demonstrated.
Anyone can be cynical about other people's motives; however, we have to have conscience to try helping the needed.
I am from Taiwan but my parents were from mainland. I am not pro TI, but we have worked too hard to deserve a choice to decide our own fate. Most mainlanders don't think so. If mainlanders are as open minded as you are, I will happily call myself a Chinese. Before then I am still a Taiwanese.
Once again, I apologize.
