The only problem with the bull case on crude right now is it focuses on supply. Yesterday's announcement by Shell's European side is an indication that demand may not be nearly as good as some of the IEA numbers have indicated. Euro demand holding up is important to the bull case.

Re: More from Matt Simmons

Here is Matt Simmons' company site:

simmonsco-intl.com

Other articles from him available there.

I think he makes a compelling case. He seems to have considered these questions in great depth and thoroughness. In contrast, the case for 'cheap oil', at least as far as I've heard it, is not at all well thought out. imho.

I wonder if anyone reading this was aware of the 1993 MG False Oil Glut he speaks of at that time? If so, I would be Very Interested to hear another description of those events and whether his description rings true for someone who was paying close attention to Oil back in '93.

------Hi Yiwu Zhang, Nice to see you here!
May I suggest? --- Bloomberg doesn't leave their articles up very long,
so 'cut + pasteing' the whole article rather than just the link keeps them available to readers here. (I've seen the Bloomberg links I've posted empty sometimes only minutes later.) More trouble to c+p both, but much appreciated!

regards,
diana
