Unless you've heard the six hour radio play first broadcast on NPR you've never had the experience Douglas intended as he wrote specifically for a radio production.

PS For radio lovers I suggest Weekend Radio Saturday afternoons on NPR. It's a wonderful potpourri of radio snippets from present and, mostly, past.
