AOL + Philips for Set-tops; Philips Uses BOCI DSL 7s America Online, Inc. The Company has completed AOL TV agreements with the following four partners Philips Electronics, the leading provider of set-top boxes, will produce an advanced set-top box enabled for AOL TV. Traders will recall that Philips, which will now produce AOL's set tops, signed a deal just last week to implement BOCI's DSL modem technology for its set tops- "May 4, 1999 Boca Research, Inc.® (Nasdaq:BOCI - news) and Philips Business Electronics B.V. today announced the signing of a strategic alliance agreement for joint development of DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) modem technology. Boca Research plans to extend its communications product line with DSL modem technology for the PC, Macintosh®, and information appliance/set-top markets. The agreement is to provide Philips Business Electronics with Boca Research DSL modem technology. ''We selected Boca Research because of their hardware and software design expertise in providing high-quality communications solutions.
