Dick Morris is a snake who cannot be trusted. I don't believe anything he says. He's lying immoral scum which is why he and the lying rapist got along so well.

Sir John--- I do not trust Robert Reich's memoirs, for example, nor do I take everything that Morris says as gospel. JBL noted in his post that Morris might exaggerate, and I mentioned the possibility of his being self- serving in my response. But he was closer to Clinton than either Regan or Schultz were to Reagan, and one judges on a case by case basis. Ronald Reagan, like FDR, was very good at giving his various supporters the impression that he was more supportive than he was, and therefore making it appear that others should be blamed if they didn't get their way. He profited by the charges that others were preventing "Reagan from being Reagan", and that he was not calling all the shots. Again, he did the same thing with some people in his Administration, letting them blame Nancy or complain about drift because he let them believe that if he had had his way he would have followed their advice. Perhaps you never read much about the Roosevelt Administration. It was a particular interest of mine in my teens, and it all sounds amusingly familiar to me...
