I can't find fault with any of the points you have made. And I agree that Turkey should be permitted to join the EU before Albania (especially after that article on organized crime clans controlling their govt. I hadn't realized it was that extensive). However, for a couple of years, there was an attempt to preserve the Yugoslavian federation after the death of Tito. They had a chance to become something greater than the sum of all the parts. But they let ancient hatreds and petty political manipulation (mainly by the Serbs) divide their country and locking their people into decades more of distrust and ill will. Regards, Ron
