PEL was halted this morning pending news. Did a rough calc. before - 300 - 700 bcf adds a range of $2.29/share to $5.34/share value to the stock using $0.70/mcf gas net. (Using 22 million shares o/s). They just announced an estimate range of 400 - 600 bcf found, which is large (PHPI).

The market will have to say, though. Didn't run before on news of a 35 million a day well (which is a big well and was restricted). Now they've said the well can do 70-100 million a day (= $49,000 - $70,000 per day net, PEL's share 24%)and bids still haven't filled in.EDIT 70-100 million raw gas, actual number after shrinkage would be less. Production wouldn't start until 2000, but this never stopped the likes of KOB, etc. before. Will have to see.

Regards, t.
