Facts? You mean some reporter published something without checking his facts? Now that is really unusual (lol). Unfortunetely what the reporter is publishing is the current perception of what is happening with Iridium and unfortunetely again, perception is reality in the short run for the market. I can't see how Iridium is anything but toast for its shareholders. It probably will survive and may even make someone some money. It just won't be the current shareholders.

AMA, you raise a good point. I post lots of stuff (mostly without commentary except for a little bolding or if "analysts" make absurb statements) and rely on others on the thread to pick them apart. The joy of SI. I benefit from the expertise of true rocket scientists and they benefit from my grunt labor. Not a bad exchange.

The same great exchange occurred on the ASND thread in its run from $27 to $90 to combat market misperceptions about its battle with CSCO. I see the same sort of dynamic here (market misperception based on I* problems, etc.) When the public consciousness catches up to the very positive G* story (my guess around Christmas 99), G* stock price should really start to fly. djane

<<I was able to identify errors in the post in question because they conflict so obviously with facts published by Iridium. Even some of Iridium's early, and informed, detractors never published such extreme mis-information....But I suspect that if I had not pointed out the factual inaccuracies in that article, no one on this board would have.>>

Well, looks like it's your turn to be tied up in the burlap bag, Andmoreagain. Let me get in a whack while you can's see who it is. ; )

Everything worked the way it was supposed to. 1. djane (the thread informabot who saves us all a heck of a lot of work) posted an article. 2. You identified some inaccuracies; thank you. 3. We all learned some things that we might not have known if 1 and 2 had not occurred.

I say it all worked splendidly! Thanks to all. ...Tim
