Maker both competes and works with PMCS. I don't know them that well but I do know they have ATM programmable solutions primarily at the ATM Layer for OC-3 and OC-12. As such, they incorporate SAR functionality and operate at the various AAL layers. They compete more with the IgT division than PMC's traditional Phy products. They complimented PMC in the past and in fact the two companies worked together a little due to PMC's position as the standard in ATM Phy. Maker had to ensure interoperability. Going forward, I think Maker is getting involved in IP as well. They should be competing with PMC more in the future.
