SAGA SOFTWARE's Sagavista Will Support Microsoft Windows DNA
Collaboration Delivers Integration for Microsoft Windows Platform
REDMOND, Wash. and RESTON, Va., May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT - news) and SAGA SOFTWARE Inc. (NYSE: AGS - news; SAGA(TM)) today announced that SAGA's enterprise integration solution, Sagavista(TM), will support the Microsoft® Windows® Distributed interNet Applications (Windows DNA) architecture, the distributed application development model for the Windows platform. By embracing Windows DNA, Sagavista, which is now in development, will enable intelligent enterprise-scale integration between the Windows NT® operating system, OS/390, UNIX and packaged applications.

''We are excited to work with an enterprise-class software provider like SAGA in its roll-out of Sagavista,'' said Jigish Avalani, group manager of Windows DNA marketing at Microsoft. ''Using the rich set of integrated services that Windows DNA includes, SAGA can design and build robust enterprise integration solutions that are inherent to the Windows platform.''

''SAGA is committed to working with best-of-breed vendors like Microsoft to deliver more functionality to our customers,'' said Timothy L. Hill, vice president, Marketing and International Operations at SAGA. ''By supporting Microsoft's Windows DNA, Sagavista frees developers from the burden of building the infrastructure required for distributed applications so they can focus on delivering value-added applications and solid business solutions.''

''Integration is the key to the successful deployment of enterprise-scale mission-critical systems,'' said Andre Yee, vice president of R&D for SAGA. ''The value of SAGA's support for Window DNA is in its ability to integrate Microsoft environments, as well as mainframe or UNIX environments, while using the Windows platform. In addition to supporting Windows DNA, Sagavista will be ready for Windows 2000, correctly installing and running on Windows 2000.''
