Authorizing additional shares does not dilute existing shares.
Splitting a stock does not dilute existing shares.
Granting and paying a Stock dividend on common shares does not dilute existing shares.
Granting stock options does not dilute existing shares.
Selling newly authorized shares dilutes existing shares.
Exercising options dilutes existing shares.
Buying shares back concentrates existing shares and raises EPS.
Did I get these right?

Splits DO NOT dilute the value of your shares. I'm sure you didn't mean this. But I just wanted to clarify for those that may not have understood what you mean.

A split is a non-event. It is simply a psychological ploy or a way to increase shares so that there is enough supply.
