Do you read the Boston Globe or something? Sunday's Business Section major story focused on what makes good internet companies. The Headline: "5 Habits of Successful Internet Companies" 1) BRANDING...Making a name for yourself in cyberspace 2) SIMPLICITY...Making the service easy to use 3) STICKINESS.. Finding ways to make people wisit often and stay a long time 4) ABUNDANCE...Giving visitors more feature and things to do during each visit 5) EYEBALLS.....Drumming up new users locally, nationally, and globally> Featured were AOL, Yahoo, EBAY, Amazon, and Lycos. The discussion was certainly flattering to YAHOO. Probably most unique about them at this point is the 18 foreign local franchises. Anyway, I vowed never to by a nutnut, until the true long term leaders emerged. But I broke down and bought some YHOO at 153 last Friday. I look to be a long term investor in what I buy. We'll See.
