Doug: Newbridge's accounting for revenues does not place them at a disadvantage, on the contrary, their method of accounting for revenues is advantageous in that it records revenues before the product has been received by the customer. That's why they are required to record a provision for estimated returns when they record their revenues.

Many companies use a similar accounting method. I will check to see how Cisco does it.
