I don't disagree with you, I was trying to clarify some accounting issues. Revenue Recognition and billing do not always mean the same thing. Many conmpanies have two or more revenue recognition policies by business segment such as equipment vs. service agreements.

When companies bill for entire goods before shipment, there becomes an internal control problem, possible Revenue Recognition problem and possibly Matching problem.

I am not familiar with Cisco's policies.

I believe we both have taken a few or more accounting courses.
