Sun, I agree with your sentiment about the lack of a cap price on the merger. I had another stock bought out on the same day (TLC) and it's deal included an upper bound of $32/share, and no lower bound.

When the merger was first announced, I too cringed because TDFX was valued so low at that time. However, STBI was also low at the time so I really don't have a feel for bang for the buck overall.
