I agree with what you're saying about execution being the hard part.
CPQ sure hasn't been executing in the recent past, but that was under EP's regime. I'm willing to cut Rosen enough slack so that I would want to wait and see what he does before saying that it won't/can't work. I think (read hope) that the "Highlander" philosophy ("There can be only one!") has gone out the door with EP, too. I haven't really gotten any vibes from Rosen leading me to believe that he is DELL obsessive. I think he's more interested in getting CPQ's act together, even if it means - dare I say it??? - losing market share.

Tae Kim,

Help me here.......>>How many times have we heard in the past few years, we'll catch up to Dell... Catch up in what regard? Compare each company's respective market share in any product category....where does CPQ need to try to "catch up?"

I own both stocks.

That is correct but I am more dismayed at CPQ not speeding the Alta Vista IPO to market. Internets are again hot, look at the Street.Com IPO today , and with no earnings. I would hope CPQ gets going with the Alta Vista situation, and SOON!!!!!!!1

There is NO product category in which DELL is ahead of CPQ - not one. Where do you come up with this nonsense?
