<< Mercury research>>

I would have to agree with you on those funny benchmark for one reason, I KNOW FOR A FACT that Rage 128 drivers were very bad at the beginning, and Mercury reported 2 months ago February 08 1999:

"With a 3DWinBench 99 score of 743 Winmarks, the RAGE Fury is the first graphics accelerator to break the 700 barrier, considered almost unattainable when the benchmark was first introduced last November."

Guess what, with the latest drivers the ATI score was lower in todays result... Hahahahahaha.

Marc "don't care about benchmark anyway" L

PS: IS there a link between the Dr Pabs and Mercury :-))

Jeff,

After calming down a bit, why don't you ask Mercury research the answers to you questions. Nobody here is going to have the real answer and if someone here does answer they are probably pulling it out of their imagination.

P.S. "Benchmarks" mean little to me as there has been no industry consensus that they are fair or accurate. Lack of 32 bit color support hurts Voodoo3 when running several of these benchmarks. Congrats to Nvidia and Diamond for sending Mercury Research a hotrod board (Guess what? Retail boards from Diamond STILL are not available. So where did MR gets its board from?) The real test is in the hearts and minds of consumers.
