debra,
From experience, these bio-techs are for the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG term portfolio if ever bought. I bought a few in '97, recommended by Mike Murphy's Letter, and ended up selling them over time, some at a loss and some even, some with a gain. (VICL, TRGA,INSV, SUGN, also of his recs.-ROSS, SEEQ.) If you catch one on a spike due to a news flash its good to grab the profit...they always drop back down to oblivion.
Actually, SUGN and VICL have more gain potential than others of his that I know of. GERON was actually a good one we had...took profits when it spiked last year with its cancer cell announcement.
In other words, patience are needed with these..but watch it for a chance to take profits.
