CMGI volatility at split time.

CMGI is extremely volatile because on its low float and because it is a favorite money maker for day traders. I am going to add to my position after the split, but I am going to be very careful about buying during the first hour or so during the trading day on the 28th.

If the market reaction to the January split is repeated, considerable volatility is predictable the day before and the day of the split.

On January 11 CMGI opened at 221 (my buy price) and closed at 272. The next day after the split it opened at 155 and lots of buyers were there at that price. But that day they saw the price drop all the way to 87 1/4 before it moved back up to 130 3/4 for the close. The price did not make it back to the 150s until early March so there were lots of investors who were shaken out with losses during that period. Be patient.
