Actually, the article that outlined how the profitability of Yahoo USA could be affected by transactions with associated companies is not a matter of concern to me. Bill Gates regularly manipulates the profitability of Microsoft so as to encourage a steady rise in the stock price without those wild swings that might happen if there were wide swings in the constant rising profits. If Son focuses on the profitability of Yahoo USA primarily, He can control the steadily increasing price of the stock and hence even the price of Softbank. That could work out well in the long run as long as Son's fortunes are tied directly to the price of the Softbank shares.
Last night in Japan, Yahoo Japan finally broke a string of five straight (I think) 2,000,000 Yen losses with a 2,000,000 Yen rise. That's the limit for one day and is about $16,000 dollars. Softbank rose around $5 to $131/share. I hope it trades in the US soon so I don't have to stay up to check out the close in Tokyo <G>.
