Well since there isn't much here to read, people interested in NANX might want to consider reading the following message on the AMAT thread:
Message 10037396

This discusses the CMP industry and talks about how AMAT has been making very good progress in that area. So if the recent news where NANX ended their exclusivity agreement means that maybe they can go after a company like AMAT directly then we have good news. However, I mainly want to call your attention to the end of the above post where it discusses a large amount of excitement over a slurry-free process being developed. Obviously unless NANX sells material to 3M to attach to its fixed-abrasive pads, then this potential source of NANX revenue may go away. With the current strong interest in reducing consumables and therefore being more environmentally friendly, the slurry-free process sounds like a likely winner; however, I know little about the CMP process and NOBODY should take my comments as advice on buying or selling ANYTHING!
