Dawg - never say never! I bought my first DELL right before it split in Feb., and then it crashed. It's a great company - since then I've been in and out a few times, and made a few bucks. I will probably hold a little through earnings, but not all that I have right now. Even if it gaps up the next day, DELL seems to bounce around a lot - it always gives us opportunities. Not always for day trades, but great for short term holds (and probably for long term, judging by it's past history.
Regarding AOL - I finally jumped into this one recently - at 139! Guess how frustrated I was to see it drop back to the teens, and me with no more cash! But this seems to be another strong, resilient stock, and now it's finally back above what I paid, and I believe it's going to go higher now (JMHO, of course)
