Yes, it's for 1998 but no (I hope) it doesn't seem to be an audit (yet). They saw I did something different from the norm and they don't know how to deal with it (it would help if there were some rules we could follow, but then this wouldn't be quite so much fun). I got my taxes in by mid-March so it would seem they're pretty quick. Of course, now I'm thinking I shouldn't have sent it in a red envelope. Or drawn skull and bones all over the outside:) Or had it hand-delivered by singing strip-o-gram (male, of course, to the tune of "New York, New York"). I understand they didn't even crack a smile when the guy popped out of the P.O. Box.

Thanks for the good wishes. Do they still send people to Levenworth for this kind of stuff?
